Children’s National and My Special Aflac Duck® featured in The Washington Post

My Special Aflac Duck® continues to make impact on pediatric cancer patients across the country during their treatment. Recently, The Washington Post shared the story of 4-year-old Savi Abdallah-Sinha, treated at Children’s National Health System, a member CMN Hospital.

Joe Bauer, a certified child life specialist at Children’s National said, “It’s always therapeutic. It can be therapeutic to educate a child or it can just be therapeutic for them to play with a duck and not even talk about the medical aspect of things.”
