B101.5 Care-A-Thon Raises More than $1 Million for Local Kids
B101.5 listeners, partners, families and staff united last month to host the 9th annual B101.5 Care-A-Thon, supporting Children’s National Hospital. For 28 hours, on-air hosts broadcasted live to share how listeners can help support local kids and families through the hospital. We heard from several families in the Fredericksburg community about their personal experiences and care at Children’s National.
B101.5 works tirelessly year-round with partners and supporters to host events and raise awareness in preparation for their broadcast each September. At the end of this year’s Care-A-Thon, B101.5 announced that they raised $130,242! They surpassed a remarkable milestone of raising more than $1 million since the event’s inception in 2014. This would not be possible without each member of the community stepping up.
